10 Reasons why ANYONE should swim!

HEALTH. People involved in even simple exercise have a lower risk of many diseases as well as a better state of mental and emotional well-being. Swimming, while easy on the joints, can be performed by all.
SAFETY in and around the water is greatly enhanced by being able to swim. Young children are irresistibly drawn to water, and tragically, about 350 children under age 5 drown in swimming pools each year in Canada
It's good FUN. As soon as the feet leave the bottom it's a whole new adventure in the water.
FITNESS for the total body comes from swimming, developing muscle tone and endurance.
We like to think of swimming as a LIFESTYLE rather than a sport. Swimming is a lifelong activity - an asset for life.
The FAMILY can come together for health, fun and fitness. Family members of various ages can all swim at the same time.
A COMPETITIVE outlet is available from Swim Ontario and other swimming organizations around Canada.
Other organized ACTIVITIES include Synchronized Swimming, Water Polo, Underwater Football and more.
NO BARRIERS: regardless of age, sex, ethnicity, or ability, swimming is an activity for all to enjoy!
